Terms of Use

Last updated 2 September 2026.

These terms cover your use of jerusalemtourism.org. Reading the site means you accept them. They are written to be understood rather than to be impressive.

What this site is

An independent publisher of travel guides to Jerusalem. We are not a travel agency, tour operator or booking service, we are not affiliated with any Israeli or Palestinian government body, tourism authority, religious institution or transport operator, and we cannot make or alter any booking on your behalf. Nothing on this site constitutes a contract for travel services.

Accuracy, and its limits

We research each guide against primary sources and correct what we find to be wrong. Even so, Jerusalem changes faster than any guide. Holy sites adjust their hours for Ramadan, the High Holidays, Easter and Christmas — and the Christian calendars themselves diverge, so Easter at the Holy Sepulchre may fall weeks apart in different years. Access to the Temple Mount and Haram al-Sharif is set by the authorities and can be suspended without notice. Roads, checkpoints and bus routes toward Bethlehem and the West Bank change. Museums close for renovation. Prices rise.

So: treat everything here as a starting point and confirm the time-sensitive details with the operator or institution before you rely on them. We publish the source links precisely so you can. We give no warranty that the content is complete, current or fit for any particular purpose.

Safety and travel decisions

This is important enough to state on its own. Conditions in Jerusalem and the surrounding region can change quickly. Nothing on this site is travel safety advice, and it is not a substitute for the current advisory issued by your own government, which you should read shortly before you travel and again before you go somewhere unfamiliar. Decisions about whether, when and where to travel are yours alone.

The same goes for entry: visa requirements, permitted stay and border procedure are set by the relevant authorities and only they can tell you what applies to your passport.

Behaviour at religious sites

Our guides describe dress codes, photography rules and prayer times at the sites they cover. Those descriptions are informational. The rules are set and enforced by each site’s own authorities, they are sometimes applied more strictly than published, and complying with them is your responsibility. If a guard’s instruction differs from what you read here, follow the guard.

Health, accessibility and money

Where a guide mentions heat on a desert trail, the gradient of a stepped alley in the Old City, or the state of a wheelchair route, it is a description and not professional advice. Consult a doctor about your fitness to travel and an accessibility specialist about your specific needs. Nothing here is medical, legal, insurance or financial advice.

Copyright

The text and original photography on this site belong to Jerusalem Tourist Guide unless credited otherwise. You may read it, print it for your own trip, and quote a short passage with a link back. You may not republish whole guides, or feed the site to a scraper, or use it to train a model, without written permission. Third-party images are used under their own licences and those licences travel with the image, not with this page.

If you believe something here infringes your copyright, write to us through the contact page with the specific page and the material concerned, and we will look at it promptly.

Links out

We link to museums, transport operators, religious institutions and government advisories because they are the authority on their own information. We do not control those sites, are not responsible for what they publish, and a link is not an endorsement of a commercial operator.

Advertising

We intend to display third-party advertising to fund the site. Adverts are selected by the ad network, not by us, and their appearance beside a guide is not a recommendation. Any dispute about an advertised product is between you and the advertiser. Editorial decisions are made independently of advertising, and we carry no affiliate links.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of this site or from reliance on anything published here — including a closed attraction, a changed timetable, a missed connection or a trip that did not go as planned. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Availability

We aim to keep the site up but do not guarantee it. Guides may be revised, merged or withdrawn as the city changes.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page; the date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
